Independent Travel Information
A passion project by Maui lovers, for Maui lovers.
EkahiWailea.com is an independent travel information website created by longtime visitors to Maui's Wailea area. We're not a hotel, a property management company, or a booking agency. We're travelers who fell in love with Ekahi Village, Wailea, and South Maui β and built this site to share what we've learned across many visits.
Our goal is simple: help you plan a better Maui vacation. Whether you're researching Ekahi Village for the first time, comparing it to a hotel stay, trying to figure out the best time to visit, or looking for dining recommendations beyond the resort brochures β we aim to give you the honest, detailed information that makes a real difference in how a trip turns out.
We've explored a lot of Maui β from the busy resort corridors of Ka'anapali to the remote charm of Hana β and Wailea consistently stands out. The combination of reliably excellent weather, calm and clear ocean waters, genuinely world-class beaches, and an atmosphere that's luxurious without being stuffy makes it a destination we return to again and again.
Within Wailea, Ekahi Village holds a special place. Staying in a full condo β with a kitchen, a private lanai, and direct beach access β is simply a better way to experience this part of Maui than a standard hotel room. The space, the flexibility, the ability to cook a simple breakfast before heading to the beach rather than paying resort restaurant prices every morning: it adds up to a more relaxed and more affordable trip without sacrificing any of the location's magic.
Unit types, resort amenities, beach access, what to look for when booking, and how Ekahi compares to Wailea's hotels.
All six beaches, three golf courses, the Beach Walk, dining, shopping, and nearby areas worth exploring.
Snorkeling Molokini, whale watching, Road to Hana, HaleakalΔ sunrise, best beaches, and the Wailea dining scene.
Best time to visit, how to fly in, renting a car, packing for Maui, budget tips, and Hawaii rules to know before you go.
We write from experience and research, not from press releases or sponsored content. Everything on this site reflects genuine knowledge of the area β the beaches we've swum at, the restaurants we've eaten in, the hikes we've done, and the lessons we've learned from planning Maui trips over the years.
We do use affiliate links to help support the site's operating costs. When you book accommodation, tours, or flights through links on this site, we may earn a small commission β at no extra cost to you. These commissions don't influence what we recommend; we only link to platforms and services we'd genuinely use ourselves.
